Veterans Day Events on the Emerald Coast

Are you celebrating Veterans Day weekend on Florida’s Emerald Coast? Here are a few events happening throughout the region to honor all who have bravely served our country.  

2019 Honor Games - November 9  
Join the annual Honor Games at Legendary Marine, where athletes compete in a friendly competition to raise money for our defenders of the front line. The event features CrossFit style competitions and a "Ruck 22 Challenge" for all ages and abilities. This challenge features 22 movements designed to challenge participants’ fortitude! 

12th Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ - November 9  
Celebrate Veterans Day weekend at HarborWalk Village at their 12th Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival. At this BBQ block party, area restaurants offer creative barbeque bites as they compete for top prizes. This family-friendly event also features live music, shopping, and fun! Tickets for military members are discounted.  

Destin Vets 5K - November 9  
The 6th Annual Veteran's Day Race in Destin is back! Run this flat course 5K to show your appreciation for those who have served in our military. The race will conclude with a fun post-race party, featuring food, drinks, and fun. Strollers, dogs on leashes, children and wheelchairs are all welcome in the race. Proceeds from the 5K benefit nonprofit organizations that assist veterans.  

Free Admission to State Parks - November 11
Enjoy any of Florida’s state parks along the Emerald Coast for free on Veterans Day this year. The area has multiple state parks, ranging from white sand beaches to dense wooded areas perfect for hiking to parks that house beautiful historic homes. The state parks in the area are definitely a sight to see, and with free admission on Veterans Day, it’s the perfect day to experience them!
