Don't Forget These Beach Must-Haves

With summer on the horizon, you’re surely counting down the days to your Emerald Coast vacation. Which means you’ve started your list of items to remember to pack. Here are a few items you’ll want to remember to make your beach getaway a success.

The Basics

One basic beach necessity is sunscreen, and you’ll want to pick the right level of SPF to protect you from burns. Don’t forget your bathing suit and a cover up, which will help protect you from the sun and let you get into any establishments that require it. Flip flops can be a cute accessory for your outfit, but they also protect your feet from the hot sand and concrete when walking to the beach.

Stay Cool

Wearing sunglasses and a hat can protect you from the sun and keep you (looking) cool. Bring a portable cooler so you can pack water or juices to keep you hydrated. Bring a beach tent or umbrella to take a break when the sun gets to be too hot.

Fun Extras

While the Gulf waters are generally clear, a pair of goggles will get you a better view of the marine life. And if you have a waterproof camera you’ll be able to show your friends back home all the wonders you saw.

Traveling with Kids 

If you’re traveling with children, don’t forget the toys! They’ll want to build sand castles and collect buckets of water. And for safety, make sure to bring floats so they can enjoy the water with you.
